Community Guidelines

At GizTimes, we believe technology is a tool for social progress and creative expression. We want our comment sections and social forums to be a space where readers can debate emerging tech, analyze software updates, and discuss the societal impacts of AI in a safe and intellectually stimulating environment.

By engaging with our content, you agree to follow these guidelines.

1. The GizTimes Code (Our Expectations)

  • Constructive Debate: We encourage passionate technical debates, but personal attacks are strictly prohibited. Focus on the hardware or the code, not the person behind the comment.

  • Clarity and Quality: While we don’t expect everyone to be a tech expert, please keep discussions coherent. Avoid “leetspeak,” excessive jargon, or all-caps shouting that hinders accessibility.

  • Stay on Topic: Comments should remain relevant to the tech niche or sub-niche discussed in the article. Off-topic “shouting matches” about unrelated political or social issues will be moderated to keep the focus on technology.

2. Zero Tolerance Policy

Violating these rules will result in immediate content removal and a permanent ban from GizTimes.

  • Hate Speech: We have zero tolerance for attacks based on race, religion, gender, disability, or national origin.

  • Malicious Content: Posting links to malware, phishing sites, or unauthorized software cracks is strictly forbidden.

  • Harassment & Doxxing: Bullying other users or publishing private personal information (addresses or phone numbers) will be reported to the relevant authorities.

  • Threats: Any threat of violence against our editorial team, industry figures, or other users is grounds for an immediate ban.

3. No Spam or Unauthorized Self-Promotion

GizTimes is a news platform, not a billboard.

  • Promotional Links: Do not post links to external stores, referral codes, or betting services.

  • Duplicate Content: Copy-pasting the same message across multiple articles (“flooding”) is considered spam and will be removed.

4. Moderation & Enforcement

  • Automated Systems: We use AI-driven filters to flag profanity, known spam signatures, and malicious URLs.

  • Human Oversight: Our editorial team reviews flagged content regularly. We reserve the right to remove any content at our discretion to maintain the quality of the GizTimes community.

  • Appeal Process: If you believe your comment was removed in error, you may contact our moderation team for a review.

5. Reporting Violations

Help us keep GizTimes a leading tech community by reporting abuse when you see it.

  • Direct Contact: For urgent issues or serious harassment, email us at contact@giztimes.com with the subject line “Community Violation Report”.

6. Ethical Tech Discourse

As a platform rooted in research, we encourage discussions on tech ethics. However, we do not permit the use of our platform to coordinate digital attacks, bypass security protocols, or harass developers over software bugs.
