Tecno Pova Curve 2 5G Launched in India at Rs 27,999, People Seem Disappointed with the Processor

On February 13, 2026, Tecno launched the Pova Curve 2 5G in India, attracting attention with its 8,000 mAh battery. Yet with such a fantastic battery, people seem disappointed with its Processor. Sales will start on Flipkart on February 20 at 12 PM. The price starts at Rs 27,999 for the 8GB + 128GB model and Rs 29,999 for the 8GB + 256GB model. With bank offers, the starting price can come down to Rs 24,999.

As we informed, the biggest highlight of the phone is its 8,000mAh battery. Even with such a large battery, the phone is slim at 7.42mm and weighs around 192g to 195g. It supports 45W fast charging, and the charger is included in the box.

The Pova Curve 2 5G has a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. Tecno says the display can reach a peak brightness of 4,500 nits and is protected by Gorilla Glass 7i.

The phone runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 7100 processor. It comes with 8GB RAM, and users can expand RAM virtually up to 16GB. Storage is UFS 2.2, and the device runs Android 16 with HiOS 16.

The reactions on X (Twitter) show that many people were not fully happy with the product.

One person said the design looks good, but they were surprised and disappointed by the processor and the 2MP camera.

Another comment also said the processor should have been better, showing that people expected stronger performance.

A third person was upset about the choice of processor at this price and felt that ₹27,000 is too much for what the product offers.

For cameras, the phone has a 50MP main rear camera and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, there is a 13MP camera for selfies and video calls.

Tecno has also added features to improve network performance. The phone uses dual signal chipsets to help in low-signal areas.

It also supports a “No Network Calling” feature, which the company says can allow emergency communication up to 2km even without a mobile signal.

The phone comes in three colors: Storm Titanium, Melting Silver, and Mystic Purple. The design has a gamer-style look with a triangular camera module and a highlighted power button.

The Pova Curve 2 5G is aimed at users who want a phone that can last long on a single charge, especially for gaming, streaming, or travel.
