TECNO just came out with the POVA Curve 2 5G. It’s their thinnest phone ever at only 7.42mm thick and weighs just 195 grams.

But it has the biggest battery yet, a massive 8000mAh one. This means you can use it for days without charging. No need for a bulky phone. It’s perfect for gaming, watching videos, or just daily stuff like calls and apps.

The phone has a cool curved screen. It’s AMOLED with a 144Hz refresh rate, so everything looks super smooth and colorful. You can play games like PUBG or Free Fire without lag. The MediaTek Dimensity 7100 chip handles all that easily. It comes in three colors: Melting Silver, Storm Titanium, and Mystic Purple. Looks like a spaceship fancy but easy to hold. It can handle dust, water splashes (IP64), drops from 1.5 meters, and has strong Gorilla Glass 7i on the screen.

The big star is the 8000mAh battery. That’s 2500mAh more than the last one. Great for long trips, all-day gaming, or streaming movies. Charges fast at 45W and has bypass charging to stay cool while playing. TÜV SÜD says it lasts up to six years. Works in super cold (-20°C) or hot (60°C) weather. Special chips make Wi-Fi and mobile signal stronger in busy or weak spots. Even talks to other phones up to 1.5km away without a network for texts, voice, or pics.

TECNO added smart AI on HiOS 16 to make things simple. It sums up articles for you, quiets noisy calls, fixes photos automatically, and helps you write better. Tap once with FlashMemo to grab and shorten screen info. Mind Hub keeps all your notes and ideas in one spot. Has prayer reminders for Muslims, too. Chat with Ella Assistant like a friend. The whole system feels fun and easy, not complicated.

This phone is made to last. Gets two big Android updates. Runs smoothly for years. Great for India, where we need phones that don’t die fast on long commutes or bad networks. Students, workers, or gamers in Hyderabad will love it for school, office, or play.

It keeps the POVA style: bold curves like from space movies. The screen wraps around for better views. Slimmer than other big-battery phones, so comfy in the pocket or hand. Normal use is powered for two to three days, and many hours of fun are provided to gamers. Popular games are played at high speeds by the fast chip, and a strong connection is kept even in big crowds or faraway places. Lots of time is saved by AI because photos are fixed and loud noises are blocked during calls automatically. Also, quick notes are made easy by FlashMemo and Mind Hub, while friendly help is always provided by Ella.

Public reactions on (X) Twitter to this news are mostly positive, with a small technical query mixed in.

One user simply called it “really good,” showing clear approval of the announcement.

Another described it as “lit,” using slang to express excitement and strong enthusiasm.

A third user tagged Grok and asked about Android and security updates, which suggests concern about software support and device protection rather than just features.

Coming to India in February 2026. Price not out yet, but expect around ₹15,000-20,000—like past POVA phones. See it at MWC 2026. TECNO wants to beat phones from Samsung or Realme that have big batteries but feel heavy. This one gives power, style, and smarts without extra weight. If you hate charging daily or want gaming on a budget, POVA Curve 2 5G fits perfectly, especially with India’s busy life and spotty Wi-Fi.
