Leaks Claim Next Pokémon Games May Be Wind and Waves, but Nothing Is Official

Recent leaks online claim that the next generation of Pokémon games could be called Pokémon Wind and Pokémon Waves. Images and map comparisons, said to be from a beta build in July 2024, show a very large open-world region made of many islands. However, The Pokémon Company and Nintendo have not confirmed any of this, so the information should be treated as rumors for now.

According to the leaked material shared in fan communities, the map seems to be based on parts of Indonesia and nearby Southeast Asian areas. The region appears to focus a lot on traveling by sea, with boats and underwater areas. Some fans believe the map could be bigger than regions from earlier games, but there is no official proof of that yet.

The files also mention different places, such as a volcanic cave, a snowy mountain, a large capital city, research labs, and temples connected to the themes of wind and waves. These names come from unverified data, and things like this often change before a game is released.

The leaks also suggest that traditional gyms might return. The types listed in the files include Poison, Flying, Fighting, Grass, Dark, Fairy, and Steel. Like the other details, this has not been confirmed.

Some people online think the games could be made for newer Nintendo hardware, often called the “Switch 2” in rumors. But Nintendo has not announced any new console, so this is only speculation.

Fans on X (Twitter) are reacting with a mix of excitement and hope after seeing early details about the new Pokémon game.

Many fans are happy because the world looks more natural and detailed, with better environments compared to older games that felt flat.

While one user was more interested in whether the game will be released only on the next Nintendo console, saying he might skip it if it isn’t.

At the same time, some of users are surprised that the footage is from an older 2024 build but still looks good, which makes them hopeful that the next Pokémon game could be better than recent ones.

The timing of these leaks has caught attention because Pokémon Day on February 27, 2026, will mark 30 years of Pokémon. The Pokémon Company usually shares news on that day, so fans are waiting to see if anything about Generation 10 is announced.

For now, there is no official announcement about “Pokémon Wind” or “Pokémon Waves.” Leaks can give early ideas, but many details can change, so fans will need to wait for official news to know what is real.
