Elon Musk says internet access is the top way to help people escape poverty. It gives free knowledge, skills, and ways to make money worldwide. He shared a video on X from user XFreeze. The video shows how the internet changes lives in far-off, poor places. Musk links this to SpaceX’s big lead in space work.

Elon Musk: The single biggest thing you can do to lift people out of poverty is giving them an internet connection

We can provide low-cost, high-bandwidth internet to parts of the world that don't have it, or where it’s very expensive

I think the single biggest thing you can do… pic.twitter.com/1xiTmXiP5n

In the video, Musk says SpaceX rules space launches. This year, SpaceX sent about 90% of all heavy cargo into space. It also controls around 80% of the active satellites in orbit. Because of this, Starlink can provide fast and low-cost internet to remote and rural areas that never had proper internet before.
Elon Musk says that internet access gives people the power to learn anything. With online videos, free courses, and tutorials, anyone can learn skills like coding, repairing machines, starting a business, or learning crafts. People do not need costly colleges or to live in big cities. All they need is an internet connection. “The best way to fight poverty is to give people internet,” Musk says. It helps them learn job skills right where they live.

The Internet does more than teach. It opens the world market. People can sell handmade items, online work, or services to buyers anywhere. No more sticking to small local sales. This brings real chances and freedom for people and small shops in poor areas. It helps them start businesses, and they need less help from others.

The Internet is a huge power today. It changes how we learn, do business, and talk. SpaceX satellites play an important role. They help people who do not have good internet connections. Millions of people in rural areas across Africa, Asia, and Latin America are already being helped by Starlink. The service is being expanded quickly and is being made available in more places every year

Some say it’s hard to pay for the internet or set it up in the poorest spots. But Musk remains hopeful. Data from the World Bank supports his view. It shows that when 10% more people get internet access, a country’s economy can grow by up to 1.4%.

SpaceX plans to launch even more satellites in the future. Musk’s message is clear and powerful: the internet is not just about technology. It gives people opportunity, knowledge, and freedom.
