Anuppur, India, December 31, 2025 (GizTimes)– Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk’s AI company, xAI, has bought a third building near Memphis to expand its computing capacity for artificial intelligence. This will bring the total power capacity to nearly 2 gigawatts—enough electricity to run about 750,000 American homes.
The new building is called Macrohardrr and is located in Southaven, Mississippi. xAI already has one operational data center, called Colossus, and is building a second one nearby, called Colossus 2. The second center will feature 550,000 computer chips from Nvidia and is expected to cost billions of dollars.
xAI is also trying to raise money at a value of $230 billion. Musk owns 53% of the company, which is worth $60 billion. The company is creating Grokipedia, an AI-based Encyclopedia that Musk says will be better than Wikipedia. It will surpass Wikipedia in breadth, depth, and accuracy. He said Grokipedia is a much better version of Wikipedia and that it fits xAI’s goal of helping people understand the universe more clearly.
Musk’s personal wealth recently grew to nearly $750 billion after a court decision about his Tesla stock options. This puts him close to becoming the world’s first trillionaire
