Samsung is likely to launch its next flagship phones at a Galaxy Unpacked event on February 25, 2026. Samsung will likely include the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra, along with the new Galaxy Buds 4 earbuds in the event.
The phones are expected to focus more on performance, charging, and software changes rather than a full redesign.
All models are expected to run on the new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor from Qualcomm. The chip is expected to bring better speed, smoother performance, and improved on-device AI features. Samsung’s focus this year appears to be improving long-standing hardware limits instead of changing the look of the phones.
The Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to see the biggest changes. Reports suggest Samsung may remove the old S Pen digitizer layer to support Qi2 magnetic charging. This could allow better use of magnetic accessories, with a new stylus system replacing the current one. The phone is said to keep its 5,000mAh battery but finally move beyond Samsung’s 45W wired charging limit. It may also switch from a titanium frame to aluminum and feature more visible camera rings with a metallic finish.
The regular Galaxy S26 is expected to get a small size upgrade. The screen may increase to 6.3 inches, up from 6.2 inches, and the battery could grow to around 4,300mAh. The phone is also expected to come with 12GB of RAM as standard.
Samsung is also rumored to be working on a Galaxy S26 Edge model. This version is said to focus on a very thin design, possibly around 5.5mm thick. It may feature a rectangular camera layout similar to recent Pixel phones, though this has not been confirmed.
The Galaxy Buds 4 and Buds 4 Pro are expected to launch alongside the phones. They may come with a smaller charging case, a softer stem design, and an Ultra Wideband chip for easier tracking through Google’s Find Hub.
On the software side, Samsung is expected to announce a major update to Bixby, described as a next-generation version built with newer AI models. The company is also reportedly close to a deal with Perplexity to bring its AI search features into One UI and Samsung’s mobile browser.
