HYDERABAD, India (GizTimes) —NVIDIA just released a big update for gamers. It’s called DLSS 4.5, with new features like Dynamic Multi Frame Generation and 6X mode. This is available now in a test version of the NVIDIA app. But it only works on new GeForce RTX 50 Series graphics cards, like the RTX 5090 or 5080.
First, make sure you have the latest NVIDIA driver (version 595.79 or newer), then download and install the NVIDIA app beta. After installing it, turn on the beta and test features option. Next, open the app and go to the Graphics section, select your game, and choose the DLSS Frame Generation override option. Finally, you can choose between Dynamic mode, which adjusts automatically based on performance, or Fixed mode, which stays at a set level you choose.
Dynamic mode is smart. It watches how hard your GPU is working. It makes just enough extra frames to match your screen’s refresh rate or a set limit. No waste when things are easy. This keeps games smooth in big open worlds or tough scenes.
6X mode is powerful. It adds five extra frames for every one your game makes. That’s six total! NVIDIA says it boosts 4K performance by up to 35% in games with heavy ray tracing. Imagine playing at 100 FPS or more with great lights and shadows.
It’s not in every game yet. You use app settings to force it on. Super Resolution was already there for RTX cards. These new parts are fresh today. More games coming soon, like 007 First Light from GDC.
RTX 50 owners get super smooth 4K at high rates, like 240Hz. It uses AI to guess and add frames. Tests show big speed gains, but the beta might have bugs in some games.
The announcement got mixed and strong reactions on Twitter, especially about performance and visuals.
One user said that even though they were getting very high FPS in Cyberpunk, the game still felt bad because of input lag and visual issues, showing that high numbers don’t always mean a good experience.
Another user said DLSS is changing how we see real-time graphics and wondered if what we see is real or partly made by AI, showing curiosity and concern.
Meanwhile, another user also complained that even with very powerful GPUs and very high FPS, the performance felt poor, showing that the feature still has problems in real use.

More games will support it soon. If you have RTX 50, get the app and driver now. It beats rivals like AMD’s FSR 3 or Intel’s XeSS on NVIDIA hardware. RTX 50’s AI parts handle it best.
This beta makes RTX 50 cards frame-making powerhouses. Try it and share feedback on NVIDIA forums. Full game support is next.
