HYDERABAD, India (GizTimes) —Crunchyroll is now a channel on the Apple TV app. It’s live in the US, UK, Canada, and Australia. This is the first big new channel in years. You can sign up right in Apple for $9.99 a month after a free 7-day trial. Watch over 50,000 anime episodes in Apple’s player. No need for extra apps or passwords.

It makes watching anime very easy. You can download shows to watch offline, enjoy them without ads, and share your account with up to six family members. There’s no need to switch between apps anymore. Crunchyroll is also available on platforms like Prime Video, Pluto TV, Roku, and Samsung TV Plus.

Great timing, too. New shows like Fire Force Season 3, Frieren Season 2, and Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 are dropping now. Plus specials like Daemons of the Shadow Realm and Solo Leveling. Fresh episodes come straight from Japan fast.

Apple TV Channels make it simple. Crunchyroll takes payments through Apple but keeps all its shows. Play everything in one player. Families can watch on phones, TVs, or computers. Offline means no Wi-Fi needed for Jujutsu Kaisen battles.

Crunchyroll has old favorites and new hits. This helps more people find it. Many services skip this to keep their own customers. But Crunchyroll wants everyone to see its anime. It already has over 10 million fans. Available in the main English-speaking countries first. Open the Apple TV app, start a trial, and it bills later. New episodes arrive almost live from Japan. No spoilers if you watch quickly. Family sharing makes it cheap for groups.

The announcement received mixed reactions on X (Twitter), with users sharing both frustration and appreciation.

One user complained that instead of playing content directly in the Apple TV app, it redirects them to the Crunchyroll app, which makes the experience less smooth.

Another user had a more positive view, saying that the new Up Next integration is a big improvement because it helps track shows easily within the Apple TV interface without switching between apps.

Meanwhile, a third user simply reacted with surprise, showing a brief but positive response to the update.

Crunchyroll shines with stories from comics and books like Solo Leveling. Big hits pull fans from Netflix or Hulu. Apple brings in iPhone users. Free versions on Roku or Pluto get new watchers. Amazon links help too. Smart way to reach more people.

This surprise team-up ends a long wait for new channels. Apple wants top services. Anime gets more popular like finding Frieren next to superhero shows. Crunchyroll grows with TikTok trends and fan events.

In India and other places fighting Netflix, this sets an example. More deals might come. Crunchyroll aims for 100 million users.
Keep watching anime on Apple TV is now easy and fun.
