Kena: Bridge of Spirits, a popular PlayStation game from 2021, is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 in Spring 2026. This will be the first time Nintendo players can play the game. The Switch 2 version will include extra DLC and new game modes. It is releasing just before the game’s sequel arrives later this year. The game was first available only on PlayStation, but later it came to Xbox in 2024. Now, with the Switch 2 release, even more players will be able to enjoy it.

Ember Lab made Kena: Bridge of Spirits in 2021 just for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC. It got great reviews and award nods for fun action, a touching story, and pretty graphics. In 2024, it came to Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. Now it’s going to Nintendo Switch 2 in Spring 2026 with the best version, including Anniversary Update DLC and New Game+ mode. This happens right before the sequel, Kena: Scars of Kosmora, comes out later in 2026.

The game is about Kena, a young spirit guide. She goes to an old village to fix things and bring back peace. She meets cute spirit friends called Rot, who help her fight bad guys and solve puzzles to reach a holy mountain spot. The story feels real and fun, like a mix of adventure and feelings.

When it first came out, everyone loved Kena for its smooth fights, beautiful looks like Pixar movies, and easy-to-play fun. It got picked for many game awards. The Xbox version brought more fans. The new update adds easy-play options, new clothes for Kena, extra game parts, and New Game+ to play again with challenges. Switch 2 gets all this ready to go.

Spring 2026 is great timing with the new Switch 2 hype. It lets Nintendo fans play the first game before the sequel. No version for the old Nintendo Switch; only the new one, which handles it better. A trailer shows how cool it looks on Switch 2, with funny Rot helpers and big battles.

Public reactions on (X) Twitter show excitement along with some practical questions about the release.

One user asked whether the game will get a full physical release on a cartridge, which shows concern about collecting and owning the complete game without relying on downloads.

Another user expressed strong happiness that the game is coming to Nintendo Switch, saying it will help more people play the game and grow the fan community.

A third user said they already enjoyed the game on PlayStation 5 and plan to buy it again on the Switch, showing strong support for the game and excitement about playing it on another platform.

You can buy Kena now on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. It skips the old Switch because it’s not strong enough. No exact day yet, but early 2026 for sure.

Xbox is sharing more games now, but PlayStation keeps some special games. Kena shows indie games can go everywhere. This lets more people meet Kena and Rot before the next story. If you like Zelda or other adventure games on Nintendo, Kena feels right at home in its magic world.

People who played it say it’s super charming. Have you tried Kena yet? The Switch 2 version might get tons of new players excited.
