HYDERABAD, India (GizTimes) —The game makers at Rebellion, known for the Sniper Elite series, announced a new video game called Alien Deathstorm through its New Trailer released on March 26, 2026. The game will officially come out in 2027. Fans got their first look at the game through a new trailer released on the same day during the Xbox Partner Preview event.
Alien Deathstorm is a mix of a scary survival game and a fast-paced shooter. When it launches in 2027, you will be able to play it on Xbox Series, PC, and Xbox Cloud Gaming. It will also be available on Xbox Game Pass on day one.
In the game, you play as a special rescue worker called a Combat Engineer. A faraway space colony has suddenly stopped sending messages, and you are the first person sent to help arriving well before the main rescue team. Your job is to find out what went wrong and save anyone left alive.
While exploring the broken colony, you will face deadly alien monsters. Ben Fisher, the lead designer at Rebellion, says the game gives you strong weapons to fight back, but you will never feel truly safe. The game mixes slow, scary moments with fast shooting.
The aliens are not the only danger. The planet is being hit by a giant, deadly weather event called a Deathstorm. This storm has super-strong winds that tear buildings apart. You will have to learn how the storm works and figure out exactly when to run and where to hide to survive.
The game also has a unique look. Instead of clean, shiny spaceships, the makers used an old 1980s space movie style. The computers and machines look heavy and old, using big mechanical keyboards instead of modern touchscreens to make the world feel gritty and real.
People on Twitter love the news about Alien Deathstorm. They think the game looks dark and scary, just like the old Alien movies.

One person said it feels a lot like the 1992 movie Alien 3. This shows the creators did a great job making a spooky space game.

Fans are ready to play it now, but some hope the game will have Turkish subtitles so they can read the story in their own language.
