Xreal released new AR glasses called the 1S at CES 2026. These personal cinema glasses let you see a huge virtual screen when you wear them. The best part? They cost $50 less than the old version now just $449 instead of $499. The company also made a new battery pack called the Neo for $99 that helps the glasses work longer and connects directly to the Nintendo Switch.
The 1S personal cinema glasses have sharper, brighter screens than the old model. The picture quality went up from 1080p to 1200p, and the screens are more colorful (700 nits instead of 600). The viewing area is a bit wider too 52 degrees compared to the old 50 degrees.
The screen also got a bit taller thanks to a new shape. You can grab either product starting today.
These personal cinema glasses work by plugging into your phone, tablet, laptop, or game console with a simple USB-C cable. There are two mini screens tucked inside that sit right in front of your eyes.
Your brain thinks you’re looking at a massive screen about as big as a movie theater screen (171 inches usually, but can go up to 500 inches). It’s like having a personal movie theater you can wear.
The Neo battery pack solves a problem for Switch players. Before, you needed to carry the Switch’s docking station to use it with the personal cinema glasses. Now the Neo lets you connect your Switch directly to the glasses without the dock, making it much easier to game while traveling.
