ANUPPUR, India (GizTimes) —Ubisoft has shared new details about the Freemen, a new enemy group in The Division Resurgence. The game will launch on March 31, 2026, for iOS and Android. Players will face this faction in Midtown Manhattan, where they have taken control of key areas.

The Freemen were not always violent. Before the Dollar Flu outbreak, they were a secret group of people who believed society would collapse one day. They focused on survival, collecting supplies, and building tools. They stayed hidden and avoided fights.

Things changed after a failed raid on a Joint Task Force (JTF) supply base. During the fight, the son of their leader, Arthur King, was killed. This event changed the group completely. After that, they became aggressive and started attacking others. They now see outsiders as either threats or resources.

The group is led by Arthur King and follows a strict system. A council called the Conclave makes decisions. People earn their rank based on how useful they are, especially if they can build or repair things. Skills matter more than anything else in their group.

Their weapons are different from other factions. Instead of normal guns, they use modified tools and machines. These homemade weapons show their skills in engineering and make them dangerous in combat.

The announcement also got different reactions on X (Twitter). Some people had questions, like whether the game can be played on PC using an official emulator, which shows they want more ways to play.

Many players shared their excitement, saying they have been waiting for this game for years and hope it does well so more content can be added later.

At the same time, a few users said they are excited but feel there are too many tweets about the game, and the hype is getting a bit too much.

The Freemen do not trust governments or laws. They believe freedom must be earned by surviving on your own and being useful. This idea guides how they act and fight.

Players will meet the Freemen when the game launches. Ubisoft is also offering rewards for players who pre-register on the App Store and Google Play.
